It's World Speech Day today, so please read this one below and share!
It’s time to cross this chasm; we need to build a bridge over this wide gulf between Nigerians and the society we deserve! We need to build a Nigerian Eldorado for us, the common man using our common wealth.
To build this bridge, every Nigerian becomes a log. How many logs do we need? The more the logs, the stronger and longer the bridge can span. Let’s start! Politicians won’t help! Governments run by our politicians are proving that they cannot help us much either!
Communal problems should now get communal fixes! It is time for self-help! Communally funded projects to benefit us, the people! We are all going to pay to use it, to recover funds spent & to keep it going
So how about a communal library to house all our books so all can read?
How about a neighbourhood clinic run and operated by us affordably so we all can save on cost. How about that old primary school turned into a stripped down St Saviours Ikoyi, where we get good & essential education without the gold plating, funded by the people for themselves.
How about making sure our neighbourhood streets are lit, but every home owner taking responsibility for the street light in front of his/her home? How about…. ? The list is long, but the possibilities are longer!
It may look daunting but a thousand miles starts with only a step

Democracy means achieving good governance for the people by the people. Let's begin to look at an alternate people led governance. We are running an oligarchy right now!
