I must confess that I had a big struggle with this decision to start a personal blog. But eventually I decided I will do it. Why am I doing this? I find that I write in my mind a lot, but that only benefits me. So I figured that if I start a blog, I can put down my musings here, and perhaps years after i have left this place called earth, someone will find a bit of wisdom in the things I have written.

If this blog bores you, then I apologize in advance. It's the musing of a middle aged man, who is seeing life through altogether new prisms. 

People often ask me who I am, and what I do. I can answer the who I am quite easily. I am Folarin Banigbe, a prince of Ijara Isin in Kwara State. An Engineer, and a husband and father. But I often can't answer what I do easily enough. So what do I do? I work for a living, and I do different things to earn a living. I also work for God, teaching and preaching the gospel, and shepherding the people He has put in my care. 

So should I attempt to describe myself, I will end up with something like Prince Engineer (Pastor)  Folarin.. That is amazingly complicated.

We are who we are, but we are not what we do for a living. I am Folarin Banigbe, an Engineer, but my name is not Engineer Folarin Banigbe. That is vanity.

So today, I chose to address myself quite simply. I am Folarin Banigbe, a friend of God. This one is the most important things to me, and if all else is taken away but this one, I will still be very happy.

So you are welcome to my blog.. It will be the things going through my head and the things that have been laid upon my spirit. I hope you find pockets of wisdom in it.
